I've been getting more into minimalism recently - how to do more with less, not want so much crap, live within or even below my means - that kind of thing.
A quick Google search brought me to Mike Donghias' site Art of Minimalism. Go visit it sometime - full of insightful writings, tips and links.
Mike has now written an e-book:
"Rise above the noise"
The book looks at techniques you can use to cut out the noise of life, listen to your own voice and get down to loving and living the life you want!
The noise of life - great way to describe the clutter and distractions we surround ourselves with. How many times do you check your mail? Just one more glance at Twitter? Facebook? Got a blog? How many updates? How long does it take you to choose your outfit in the morning? Too many choices!
This book examines this conundrum and then offers some solutions on how to simplify. Get your life back!
As the saying goes, the best things in life aren't things! Life is about people, experiences, enjoyment - not emails, websites and people you didn't like in school!
Do yourself a favor and buy this book - it will help set you free! Oh, and for the first week, Mark is giving all profits to Hope International - a third world micro-financing charity so your helping others reach their dreams too!
Favorite quote: each morning we wake up and get to explore the possibilities of a new day.
Doesn't that just make you think "fresh start each day, anything is possible"?
Am looking to make some major career choices soon, affecting everything but positively (I hope). This book has given me some ideas and tools to enable me to plan better so I don't fail!
